Article on ADA Compliance for Online Course Design Featured in EDUCAUSE Review
DO-IT Director Sheryl Burgstahler has published an article titled "ADA Compliance for Online Course Design" in the EDUCAUSE Review, a digital and print publication for the higher education IT community. The article features how campuses nationwide have approached compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act for online learning, with targeted focus on how students need multiple methods for gaining and demonstrating knowledge and how accessibility efforts benefit not only students with disabilities but others as well, including English language learners and those working in noisy or quiet environments.
