Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day!
May 18th marks the sixth annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), which DO-IT is celebrating across University of Washington campus with a series of events and presentations. GAAD was created to get everyone talking, thinking, and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.
Learn more about what you can do to celebrate GAAD on the GAAD website, or come visit the University of Washington campus in Seattle and see what Accessibility Technology Services and DO-IT are hosting!
GAAD can be celebrated in many ways: this could include making sure disability and accessibility are included in your mission statement, captioning all of your outward facing videos, and/or hosting events on campus or in your city to promote access for all!
