Transitioning to College: Resources for Students, Parents, and Educators
Special education services provided by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) end with high school graduation, but disability-related services continue to be provided under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Understanding how these laws apply at college is an important piece of the puzzle for transitioning students.
