Community

DO-IT is a community of people with and without disabilities with a common goal of academic and career success for everyone regardless of disability.

  • DO-IT Scholars
    High school students participating in summer study sessions, internships, and a supportive electronic community with mentors.
  • DO-IT Pals
    Teens with disabilities supported in pursuing college and careers by DO-IT staff and mentors.
  • DO-IT Ambassadors
    Scholar graduates who are now in college and careers and sharing their experiences in an electronic community with DO-IT Scholars and Pals.
  • AccessSTEM Team
    Students with disabilities and their mentors, all pursuing degrees and careers in science technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
  • AccessComputing Team
    Students with disabilities and their mentors, all pursuing degrees and careers in computing fields.
  • DO-IT Mentors
    Adults, most with disabilities themselves, who support DO-IT Scholars, Ambassadors, and Pals, and other participants as they transition to college, careers, and self-determined lives. 
  • DO-IT Parents
    Parents of DO-IT participants who support one another and share resources and strategies for helping children with disabilities to college careers and self-determined lives.
  • DO-IT Staff
    The dedicated individuals who work at DO-IT.
