'05 Ambassadors
DO-IT Ambassadors are pursuing postsecondary studies and careers. They share their experiences with DO-IT Scholars and Pals, encouraging them to pursue their goals in college and employment.
Hearing impairment, cerebral palsy
Attends Seattle Central Community College and plans to become a counselor or a chef.
Spina bifida
Pursuing an associate's degree at Yakima Valley Community College and plans to transfer to Central Washington University to pursue a bachelor's degree in law and justice with a minor in physiology. Wants to work in the juvenile court system. Recently married.
Cerebral palsy
Finishing an associate's degree at Yakima Valley Community College and plans to transfer to Central Washington University to earn a communications degree. Would like to work as a public relations advocate for people with disabilities.
Central core disease, muscular dystrophy
Graduated in 2013 with a degree in community psychology and disability studies from the University of Washington, Bothell. Plans to pursue a master's degree in social work. Received a DO-IT Trailblazer award in 2011. Works at the DO-IT Center.
Dyslexia
Graduated from Green River Community College. Works for Chase Bank as a branch manager.
Cerebral palsy
Pursuing a certificate or degree in child development at Shoreline Community College. Volunteers at the college's preschool and at the food bank.
Dysgraphia
Earned an associate's degree in fire science. Completed classroom training to become a paramedic. Planning to take the national certification to become a firefighter paramedic.
Learning disabilities
Works in billing for a house-cleaning service on an island in the San Juans. May pursue a dental program.
Cerebral palsy
Enjoys playing bass guitar, working out, and having a good time with friends.
Tourette's syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder
Earned degrees in criminal justice and Spanish from the University of Portland. Traveled to the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Currently teaching at a local college in Seattle. He looks forward to going abroad again in the fall of 2013 for an international internship in education or criminal justice fields. Next year he will find his way to South America to see the World Cup in Brazil.

Coordinates Section 508 Compliance at the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Appointed to the Washington State Governor's Committee of Disability Issues and Employment. Works as a user interface analyst at SSB Bart Group in McLean, VA. Serves as Chair of the US Business Leadership Network's Student Advisory Council. Received a DO-IT Trailblazer award in 2008.
